Early Birds SOLD OUT!

Every year, it seems like we're saying this, but seriously, Early Birds sold out faster than ever before!  Thanks for making your summer plans so early!

And don't worry, if you didn't get the chance to scoop up our weekend passes at the Early Bird price, you're in luck!  We still have a few to sell at our Advance pricing: $105 for adults and $93 for students and seniors (plus GST).  They're available at the Globe Theatre Box Office.

The 2012 Regina Folk Festival Artistic Lineup is now complete!

Our last headliner to be confirmed is STARS.

Stars are soft-revolutionaries and music is their rallying cry. Amy Millan, Chris Seligman, Torquil Campbell and Evan Cranley are four young people who through their music are trying to save us from our mundane and complacent fears. When at a loss for words, one music writer said the only way to describe Stars was "beautiful hope". Their music has been described as "breath-takingly effervescent" and they have been called the kind of band that "blue lights and fog machines are made for".
Also recently added to the bill: Cold Specks, Tasseomancy, Rich Aucoin, Al Simmons, Jayden Pfeifer, Kacy & Clayton, Julia & Her Piano, Young Benjamins, The Heartbroken and Rosie & the Riveters.  See our performer schedule for bios & photos.

We're also happy to showcase our new artwork for this year!  Many thanks to our designer, Avril Biggin from Bigg in Media, for putting it all together with charm and style.  Check out her online portfolio!

Keep your eyes peeled for a little something we've been working on over the winter - a whole new website!  We're very excited to share it with you soon!

Announcing Caracol!

See the Concert Series page for more details!

Erin Passmore added to the bill!

We've just added Erin Passmore to the Chic Gamine concert (Jan 25th) as the opening set.

Our opening set will be provided by Erin Passmore. Erin has a voice that will drop kick your heart. She is perhaps best known for her work in the Regina indie-rock band Rah Rah, where she’s a multi-instrumentalist, contributing drums, keys, bass and her crowd-rousing vocals. Erin’s voice is not brash, booming, or overdone. It’s honest, warm and real. It’s one of those gifts you’re born with. And you can’t help but take notice when she takes the mic. Her first solo album the Downtown EP will be release this February.

Just one more reason to brave the cold, rest a bit and let the waves of beautiful voices wash over you.
See you soon!
